I’m a recent graduate of Hope College and live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, interning at a regional planning agency. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English with emphasis on writing, with a minor in Environmental Studies, and I am going to graduate school for urban planning in 2010.
Livelittle is a title meant to provoke the idea that small changes make the biggest difference. I write about urban planning a lot because that is the field I’m going into, and I think it affects everyone’s lives a lot more than most realize. I see people living small and doing what they can, and I want to share these stories and ideas because they inspire me.
Please comment and participate and disagree, for whatever reason, and especially if you’re from the Grand Rapids area. Thank you in advance for taking part in the conversation.
There is a lot more to me, but blogging is about communal learning, not about self-absorbed journaling! (well….I wish…)

Photography for Live Litte is done mainly by Emily-Waid Photography.

Hey there,
Was just checking out your blog. I agree with your latest post, about environmentalism having become a social justice issue.
I’m curious if you have seen Penn and Teller’s video on recycling, and what you think.
If you haven’t seen it, it is available on youtube.
